Notes: Labor force is the total number of persons available for employment. This includes members of the U.S. military. Employed is the number of persons employed. Unemployed is the number of persons unemployed. The unemployment rate is the percent of the labor force that is unemployed. The unemployment rate for NE Pennsylvania is calculated from the nine-county total of unemployed as a percent of the labor force.

The MAP Center's data tables were updated on June 7, 2004. Annual data for the years 1990 through 2003 and preliminary data through March 2004 are available.
