PP&L Susquehanna Station: Erosion Mitigation Project

In the Fall of 2001 Dr. Brian Mangan and his Environmental Studies students began a cooperative project with the Pennsylvania Power and Light Company's environmental engineers at the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station in Salem, PA. Together with other environmental scientists, the students developed a plan to mitigate soil erosion in one area of the property. The MAP Center cooperated by preparing background and context maps and creating a GIS database from drawings and photographs supplied by PP&L.

 The EPA's EnviroMapper Tool
