Population Change 1990-2000

Growth Rate

Annual growth rate is the change from one year to the next. Cummulative growth rate is the change from a fixed year (1990) to any following year. For example, the rightmost point on the annual growth curve is the change from 2000 to 2001. The rightmost point on the cummulative growth curve is the percent change from 1990 to 2001. The "bump" in 2000 is from the actual growth being more than the predicted growth.

Growth Factors

The chart at the right shows the net result of "natural" growth (Births - Deaths) and migration (Domestic + International) on the population of the county.
