Downtown Wilkes-Barre Guide Map Large image (135KBytes) PDF file (192KBytes)

This early MAP Center project gave us important local publicity as well as a tool to use for later work with the Diamond City Partnership (DCP). The map has GIS origins but was first created (1997) in graphic arts software. In 2001 it was expanded to the south and converted into a true GIS format for DCP. The latest (2004) revision is shown here.

This downtown map has served as a base for numerous projects including "Walk Wilkes-Barre" a self-guided tour of the historic district published in 1999 by Leadership Wilkes-Barre. The most recent published revision was in October, 2002.
